Uncontrolled dust generated during the manufacturing process presents a constant challenge and potential risk, especially in unmonitored or difficult to access or infrequently inspected locations such as mezzanines, girders, etc. The Guardian is a risk reduction tool. It is a remote sensor for monitoring ongoing potential accumulation of dust in these difficult to access areas of the facility provides a significant opportunity for risk reduction by providing enhanced protection for both employees and infrastructure. The Guardian System operates using either of two patent pending technologies, capacitance or optical (visible or IR wavelengths) depending on the specific application. The system is remote, wireless, and extremely portable allowing for easy installation in difficult to access areas. The Guardian allows for multiple units per facility for assessment and monitoring, making the Guardian an excellent, cost effective safety and compliance tool for all facilities.

Guardian Settled Dust Sensors
B3 Systems has two (2) patent pending techniques for detecting settled dust.
The Guardian I uses capacitance and the Guardian II is optical.
Each system has it's strengths and benefits and each may be applicable to different applications and requirements.
The sensor units are small, easily mountable, and are designed with specific NEMA requirements as needed.
The system is remote, wireless, and extremely portable allowing for easy installation in difficult to access areas.
The housing is designed for easy attachment and the sensor can be easily relocated as indicated by conditions.
The consistent and repeatable data provided can be used to control and direct mitigation equipment (i.e. fans, etc.) or quickly focus any response efforts of maintenance personnel.
As an additional benefit, on a default basis, the sensor is a potential "secondary monitor" for any dust control equipment.
